Our Editorial Ground
Junglevaultbambo is an independent, informative website about high-end botanical interiors for private residences. We begin with what a home can sustain.
Beauty with a working foundation
Indoor gardens are often presented as finished pictures. We are interested in the relationships behind those pictures: leaf and window, root and container, architecture and maintenance.
Our guides are written for homeowners and residential designers who want to make thoughtful decisions before commissioning planting, buying a large specimen or building a permanent planter.
How we approach the subject
We separate visual inspiration from practical prescription. A public conservatory can teach proportion and rhythm, but its humidity, light and staffing may bear little resemblance to a home. A plant’s reputation for toughness is not a guarantee of suitability.
Our four chapters move from conditions to composition, integration and care. This order is deliberate. It places horticultural feasibility before purchasing decisions and makes long-term maintenance part of the design brief.
Sources and further observation
Useful reference points include the Royal Horticultural Society, Kew’s Plants of the World Online, the ASPCA plant database and the American Society for Horticultural Science. Their inclusion does not imply endorsement or affiliation.
For spatial observation, botanical collections at the National Botanic Gardens of Ireland in Glasnevin, the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh, the Botanischer Garten Berlin and the Jardin des Serres d’Auteuil offer very different relationships between glass, planting and movement. The Eden Project, the Barbican Conservatory and Kew’s Palm House are further points of reference, not templates to reproduce in a domestic room.
Scope and corrections
We do not provide site-specific structural, electrical, medical or veterinary advice, and the website is not a design or installation booking service. Technical work requires competent local professionals and current local requirements.
